Win a real-life racing seat with Williams Esports and Racing Prodigy!
Put in your fastest laps, and compete against the Williams Gaming Club to earn your Prodigy Pass.
The WGC PRL iRacing Mazda MX-5 Cup Time Attack will be live on iRacing for 10 weeks starting 1st Oct. Jump in and set your fastest lap times to see how you rank in the Williams Gaming Club leaderboards!
The top 12 drivers after 10 weeks will progress through to the finals, competing against drivers from the Fanatec Global MX-5 Cup iRacing official series to get their hands on one of two Prodigy Passes - and entry to Prodigy Week to try out for a paid pro racing contract!
How do I get involved?
To get involved, you must first purchase a
Racing Prodigy Membership. An iRacing Game Pass will cost you $9.99 USD for 6 months, or $14.99 USD for 12. This allows you entry to all Racing Prodigy iRacing events, including our Williams Gaming Club time attack events. Without this pass, you will not be able to enter the Time Attack.
Once you have done that, you just need to hop on the iRacing Time Attack page. From there you will be able to see that week’s WGC PRL iRacing Mazda MX-5 Cup Time Attack event, just click on that event and enter your car! You will be free to complete as many laps as you want, with only your fastest lap time being counted in the leaderboard.
The track will change each Tuesday, so make sure you keep coming back to set your best lap times. Over the course of the 10-week series, the leaderboard will take your 7 highest place finishes, leaving us with the final leaderboard at the end of the challenge. The top 12 highest-placing drivers at the end of the 10 weeks will progress to the finals to take on 36 challengers from the Fanatec Global MX-5 Cup iRacing Official series.
How does it work?
Drivers compete across a variety of racing simulators, with the very best from each earning a Prodigy Pass. This Prodigy Pass earns them an all-expenses paid trip to Prodigy Week, a multi-day event that tests the drivers’ capabilities on and off track, similar to an NFL Combine. Through a series of rigorous physical tests that push them to their limits, the drivers will be graded, and advance through to the Prodigy Draft.
Earlier this year, the first draft was held at the Williams Racing London Fan Zone, bringing along drivers to experience the fantastic event, where each of the 6 Prodigy Racing Team picked 4 drivers to represent them in the Prodigy Three (P3) championship series – leaving us with the final 24 drivers set to make their racing dreams a reality.
How can I catch this season’s progress?
For the top 12 in our WGC PRL Mazda MX-5 Cup Time Attack series, the finals will be taking place on December 15th, again with all races live-streamed on the Racing Prodigy YouTube.
I don’t have iRacing, are there any other ways I can qualify?
If you don’t have an iRacing account, do not worry! There are still other ways to get involved in the Prodigy Racing League Season 2 competitions and make your real-life racing dreams become a reality.
There are a variety of simulators and competitions that will offer out Prodigy Passes in Season 2 (through April 2025), and as events are opened, you can find out which competitions and games you can enter here:
