You can change your answers right up until the formation lap on Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. It is in this window that the majority of drivers made their first stops last year, and if we have some clean opening exchanges, I expect it to be the same this year.

Q2: On which lap will Franco make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. I predict Franco will come into the box during the same window as Alex.

Q3: Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Alex. I feel we’ll see Albono pit first as he has done more often in 2024.

Q4: How many stops will our drivers make between them?

4. A two-stop looks to be the quickest way around COTA, and our drivers have made two stops each in both 2022 and 2023.

Q5: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. There have been five VSC periods at COTA since its 2015 introduction, the last of which came in 2021. I don’t think it will make an appearance this weekend.

Q6: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. What is a Safety Car? We are on an unprecedented run without its intervention, and I think that might continue on Sunday.

Q7: Where will the highest placing Williams driver finish the race?

P11-P15. Following a tricky Qualifying session and the recent lack of attrition, it might be tough to make our way up the order. Of course I hope to be proved wrong and we leave Austin with more points!

Q8: On which lap will our fastest lap of the race be set?

Lap 41-Finish. I think we'll see our quickest lap of the Grand Prix come in the closing stages, however in last year it was recorded on Lap 34.
You’ve heard from The Strategist, now it’s time to make your decisions below. You have until the lights go out on Sunday to make any changes, good luck!
