After sticking close through Suzuka’s fast Turn 10 flick, our No. 55 spotted his chance and didn’t think twice, sending it up the inside at the tight Turn 11 hairpin.
It was a move full of confidence, the kind of late-braking that we’ve seen plenty of times across his decade in the sport. F1TV’s Jolyon Palmer said it best: “Oh, get in there! Lovely pass at the hairpin.”
