There’s a fresh new look with a royal twist on the two Williams Racing FW45s this weekend in Miami.
To commemorate the historic Coronation of His Majesty The King on Saturday 6 May in the United Kingdom, the race cars of Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will sport the Coronation Emblem on the nose for the duration of the Miami Grand Prix weekend.
With a number of our UK-based squad over 4,000 miles from the special events at home, this tribute ensures that the festivities are marked across the pond.
As a proud British team, Williams Racing has long had ties with the Royal Family. One of the proudest moments of Sir Frank Williams’ career was receiving his Knighthood from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1999 for services to the Motor Sport Industry. The team’s late founder had previously been made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in the 1987 New Years Honours.
On the very momentous occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III this weekend, Williams Racing extends its very best wishes.
