We’re back home in the UK and in full celebration mode ahead of reaching the historic milestone of 800 Grands Prix in Formula 1.
But now it’s that time of the week when you can unlock our latest Grand Prix badge ahead of this weekend’s action at Silverstone.
And remember, if you’ve collected each of our Grand Prix badges so far, make sure you continue that streak because there’s an exclusive money-can’t-buy prize up for grabs if you complete the set.
Now let's take a closer look at the inspiration behind this weekend’s design...
Behind the Badge: Great Britain
The British GP badge was designed with a few key simple elements in mind.
Firstly, the Royal Air Force (RAF) icon features in the background, a symbol not only of British culture but also of Silverstone’s heritage, with the circuit a former RAF airfield.
The famous Red Arrows, a British institution and a very familiar sight at landmark events, add further depth to the badge, and again, a link to the RAF.
The lion - taken from the royal shield - is a traditional symbol of bravery, strength and valour and can be seen propping up the ‘W’ monogram in the British GP badge.
To finish with a very distinct British touch, the Union Jack has been incorporated at the bottom.
