Check your Pit Wall Predictions result from the US Grand Prix and discover how The Strategist fared

From the craziness of Qatar, with mandatory stint lengths and high stress in the heat for the cars and drivers, the 2023 US Grand Prix was a relative walk in the park.
No safety cars, virtual or otherwise, and no yellow flags meant our pit wall had no time to breathe across the 56-lap race.
We still progressed through the field, though, with strong race pace and a solid strategy that ultimately delivered us a double points finish, but how was the USGP for you?
One clever cookie scored maximum points in our free-to-play game, Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, and there's a single leader at the top of the standings.
Read on below to see how you compared to the other players and whether you outscored our in-house insider — known only as The Strategist — in Texas.

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Alex jumped into the pit lane on Lap 10 for the first of his two stops to immediately catch 90% of players out.
Just 10% opted for the Lap 1-10 option here, and The Strategist wasn't one of them, going for Lap 11-20 instead.

Q2: On which lap will Logan make his first stop?

There was a much better fairing for our second question, with Logan heading to his pit box one lap later than Alex on Lap 11.
That nudged him into the Lap 11-20 bracket, scoring The Strategist and 66% of players five points.

Q3: Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Alex has been the first of our drivers to pit more often than not, but Logan has jumped the queue a few times recently to cause 57% of players to back the American to pit first in Austin.
That wasn't to be, though, and The Strategist picked up more points by correctly backing Alex here.

Q4: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?

The low-incident race meant it was a standard two-stopper for each FW45, meaning we had a total of four pit stops this weekend.
The Strategist's prediction for a "well-timed Safety Car" leading to 5+ stops didn't come off, but 49% of players scored five points for this question.

Q5: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

A whopping 56% of players chose "1" as their answer here, ignoring The Strategist's advice that they didn't think we'd get a VSC slowdown.
The 28% that agreed with them added more points to their tally, correctly choosing "0".

Q6: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

It was a weekend off for Bernd Mayländer after his hectic Qatar, with not one slowdown in the 2023 US Grand Prix.
The Strategist thought there'd be one, as did 62% of you, but the 21% that went for "0" were the ones that scored points here.

Q7: Which tyre will Alex end his race on?

Alex ran a medium-hard-medium strategy, taking his final set of the yellow-ringed rubber for 27 laps around COTA.
That'll be exactly what 44% of players wanted to see, including The Strategist, who also chose mediums as their answer.

Q8: Which tyre will Logan end his race on?

An identical tyre strategy for Sarge helped the American advance to P12 through the race, especially with his late-race pass on Nico Hulkenberg.
The mediums he crossed the line with scored The Strategist and 38% of players five points.

The Strategist's Score: 5/8

The late-season points continue to rack up for The Strategist as they beat the average score again – they now sit P36 in the rankings.
This weekend's most common result was 15, scored by 30% of players, but well done if you were one of the 0.5% that scored 35 points or more.
With four races to go, the leader currently has 355 points, but anything can happen before the season finale, including The Strategist catching up with their 310 points...
