It’s fair to say that Logan Sargeant’s start to life as a Formula 1 driver has been a busy one.
In 40 days, LS2 has had pre-season testing in Bahrain - where he completed an incredible 229 laps and 830km - then his first-ever F1 Grand Prix in the same country, another race in Saudi Arabia, then more racing in Australia, before last week’s trip to New York.
You will by now know all about his experiences in the first three destinations, but what did Logan get up to during his time in the Big Apple?
Surprisingly, this was in fact Logan’s first trip to New York and what was the first thing he did you ask?
Well, maybe not quite the first thing, but pretty soon after arriving he was sent up to the 102nd floor of the iconic Empire State Building to soak up the views of NYC!
Naturally, he did so in his race suit too, which made for some great photography. You can check out some of the best snaps in our gallery below.

What were Logan’s initial thoughts on New York? “This place is special,” our young American enthused.
Speaking of special, it would be wrong to visit NYC and not watch any live sport. So, it was then time for Sarge to head to Barclays Center where he took in an NBA game courtside, as the Brooklyn Nets hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The home side may have narrowly lost out 107-102, but it was still an experience that Logan understandably described as “awesome”.
Speaking of awesome experiences, it was a pleasure for Williams Racing and Logan to then be invited to Nasdaq to close the markets in Times Square on Thursday.
Logan took centre stage and had the honour of ringing the Closing Bell before then having his face plastered on the iconic billboard in Times Square.
“What an experience that was,” Sarge said.
“It’s my first time in New York, my first time in Times Square, and my face is on a billboard – that’s quite surreal!”
While we can’t confirm or deny if LS2 managed to hunt one of those down in the Big Apple, as we don’t have a full breakdown of what he consumed during his time there, we can shed some light on the trip’s final dinner.
Logan and his team went to famous Brooklyn steakhouse Peter Luger, which, established in 1887, is the third-oldest operating steakhouse in New York City.
“I’ve loved all the food in New York,” Logan told us.
“I had a great time on my last night in particular. You don’t look at the menu or they know you’re a tourist, so I just went with their recommendation.
“The steak was phenomenal.”
It’s been a whirlwind few (40, actually) days for Logan and he summed up his thoughts on NYC before a well-earned rest.
“I love the vibe of the city. It’s a special place.
“I really liked Dumbo in Brookyln and SoHo in Manhattan in particular and I can’t wait to return already.
“It’s been great to be back in the States and luckily I get to head home to Florida in under a month for the Miami Grand Prix, which I’m really excited about!”
