The summer shutdown means that August is a quieter month than usual at Williams Racing — but it won’t be long until preparations are under way for Round 15 of the season.
Here’s a breakdown of the key dates for your diary over the coming weeks…
July 29th-August 22nd - Summer shutdown
We’re currently in the midst of Formula 1’s annual summer hiatus, following last week’s Belgian Grand Prix.
There aren’t any races scheduled until late August, with work unable to take place on the FW46 for an extended period.

August 16th-17th - Outfront Showdown
Williams Academy driver Jamie Chadwick returns to Indy NXT action on August 16th-17th, when she is set to take part in the Outfront Showdown.
That event is taking place at the World Wide Technology Raceway, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
August 23rd-25th - Grand Prix of Portland
Jamie will also be heading to the Grand Prix of Portland on August 23rd-25th, at Portland International Raceway.
The 26-year-old is currently 5th in the Indy NXT standings, with 237 points on the board from ten starts.

August 23rd-25th - Dutch Grand Prix
The Formula 1 season resumes with the Dutch Grand Prix on August 23rd-25th, when Alex and Logan visit the Circuit Zandvoort in North Holland.
Known for its banked corners and narrow track width, there is surely to be plenty of entertainment in store during Round 15 of the campaign.
Free Practice 1 and 2 take place on Friday 23rd August, with Free Practice 3 and Qualifying the following day.
The race itself is scheduled for Sunday 25th August — and you can check the times of each session
here.
August 30th-September 1st - Italian Grand Prix
We cross over from August into September at this season’s Italian Grand Prix.
The ‘Temple of Speed’ will see Alex and Logan challenge themselves on Formula 1’s fastest circuit, with its long straights, high-speed corners and a minimal downforce setup.
Free Practice 1 and 2 are pencilled in for Friday 30th August, Free Practice 3 and Qualifying are scheduled for Saturday 31st August, and Sunday 1st September is race day.
All the information about the various session times can be found
here.
Our Williams Academy drivers will also be racing at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, with Zak O'Sullivan and Franco Colapinto in Formula 2 action, as well as Luke Browning in Formula 3.
