Behind the Badge: Australia

This year's badge series celebrates the rhythm of the race calendar through a bold, retro-inspired aesthetic that merges heritage with momentum.
Drawing from the nostalgic charm of vintage stamps, each badge embodies the essence of the Grand Prix experience.
The Australia badge channels the sunny, energetic spirit of Melbourne with a bold, retro-inspired design. A green and gold colour scheme grounds the badge in Australia's identity, while a boomerang and kangaroo add dynamic, symbolic elements of motion and heritage.
The illustration, crafted in a flat, high-contrast style, features Melbourne’s iconic tram, the Arts Centre spire, and hot air balloons floating above the city skyline - a familiar sight in Melbourne.
The composition is playful yet precise, capturing the vibrancy of the Australian Grand Prix in a collectible emblem of the race.
