Being on the cusp of a new season like 2022 is an exciting moment. New cars, new regulations and new beginnings for us all.
Now the regulations have completely changed, it is a new start for everyone. The cost cap regulations are also now in place for the second year, but it will take a few more years for that to balance out.
Nevertheless, the new regulations do bring new opportunities and it will be interesting to see where the cars are when we get to Barcelona and then Bahrain.
Bringing the team forward to where we want to be is not an overnight task, there is so much to be done. But, importantly, we are starting that journey and we have the right spirit as we take that journey.
A good year for us in 2022 will mean that we are in a better position speed-wise at the end of the season than wherever we start. And we’ll begin to find out what our challenge is when we benchmark against the other teams this week in Barcelona.

We are so pleased to have two young, talented drivers in our car for 2022 to help us with this development journey.
Nicky had some very strong performances last year, especially towards the end, and after a strange debut season for him under the backdrop of Covid-19, we could see his competitiveness.
Alex we know is a huge talent, and I’m excited to see what they can achieve together. They were team-mates in Formula 2 and they work well together and respect each other, which is important right now.
As valued Williams Racing supporters, we are happy to have you on this journey with us.
