"What an amazing trip today for some of our KS3 students to the Williams F1 STEM site in Oxfordshire.

The students were able to drive in the esports simulators. The winners from group 1 were 1st-Ollie, 2nd-Olivia and 3rd-Matthew. From group 2, the winners were 1st-Ethan, 2nd-Cooper W and 3rd-Max, with a special mention to Poppy for being repeatedly nominated as Driver of the Day.

We also had a tour around the museum where we heard about the history of Williams and saw a selection of cars from across the years.

Finally the students competed against each other in a materials workshop. They had to design nose cones that were tested to produce the least force when impacted, then present their design to everyone else. The winners were Idris, Eleanor B, Henry, Evie and Beth.
