Two members of our Driver Academy were in action last week, with Alessandro Giusti rolling out in new Formula 3 machinery at Pre-Season Testing in Barcelona, while Lia Block tackled Round 2 of the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship in Portimão.
Read on to find out how the pair fared on the Iberian peninsular last week.
Formula 3
With his rookie FIA Formula 3 season fast approaching, Alessandro Giusti got his first taste of the new machinery during the official pre-season test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Over three days of running with MP Motorsport, the Frenchman completed an impressive 185 laps, experiencing a wide range of conditions that he’ll face throughout the season.
Giusti steadily built up confidence in his No.19 car, with his best result coming in the afternoon session of Day 2, where he placed P7. The test provided valuable mileage and data ahead of his competitive debut next month.
Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship
Meanwhile, Lia Block returned to the track for the second round of the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship, gaining more experience in single-seaters at the challenging Portimão circuit.
After qualifying P31, she made steady progress throughout the weekend, finishing P21 in Race 1 before climbing to P17 in the Reverse Grid Sprint Race.
Lia carried that momentum into the final race, working her way up to P22 to round off a weekend of continued development in the competitive Eurocup-4 field.
