As part of Fan Appreciation 2024, we’ve reached out to some of our most engaged fans to find out why they follow Williams Racing.
Fans have been invited to share with us their Driver Card designs on social media. We’ve reached out to some of those that have and they have been so generous with their time, sharing their stories with us.
We feel it’s right that the wider motorsport world should get to hear them as well, so welcome to the “My Driver Card Story” series.
Next up to tell their story is Victoria Mariño from Argentina:
In my house, my father always watched Formula 1. He is a huge fan, but I never really got into the hobby… but when Franco Colapinto joined Williams Racing, I became a big fan.
I’m 21 years old, the same age as Franco, and seeing an Argentine driver my age racing in Formula 1 fills me with pride and admiration. Franco is incredibly talented, but he also has the support of Williams, a team that backs him a lot.
There are many things I love about the team, but one of my favourites is the warmth with which they treat Franco. On several occasions, they’ve sent him encouraging messages over the radio, both before and after the race. I think it’s very important that drivers receive that level of emotional support.

As for the future, I’m really excited to see the changes coming for the 2026 season. I believe Williams will be very successful in the upcoming seasons.
My favourite moment with Williams so far has been the tremendous support from the fans for Franco Colapinto in the team. I’m proud to be part of that group. Unfortunately, I couldn’t travel to see the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit, but I watched the video that Williams posted on their YouTube channel showing all the support from the Argentine fans for Franco, which gave me goosebumps.
I really enjoy all the content Williams shares on their social media, like the video of Franco and Alex drinking mate, it was really fun. While my passion for F1 started with Franco Colapinto, Williams is the team I love the most.
My biggest dream is to one day have the opportunity to experience the Williams Racing Paddock Club and have a unique experience watching a Grand Prix from there.
Victoria's Driver Card
I loved the idea of being able to customise a Driver Card. It was the first thing I did when I downloaded the app. I chose the colour pink because it’s my favourite colour, and the number 22 because it’s my birthday.
I keep up with the team by using the app and following them on their social media. In fact, I have notifications turned on so I don’t miss any updates. I also read all their emails.
I love the feature in the app that lets you race on different circuits as if you were an F1 driver!
I really enjoy the mini-game and I’m always trying to improve my times! But all the features are excellent, I also really enjoy making my predictions.
