The season’s finish line is drawing into view, as Williams head Stateside for the Las Vegas GP.
There are now just three Grands Prix to go in 2024, as we get set for a trio of back-to-back race weekends to end the campaign.
Ahead of Saturday’s showpiece in Sin City, here’s a round-up of all the media coverage of Williams Racing over the last few days.
Ready for Vegas
Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto endured difficult weekends in São Paulo, but the duo are raring to bounce back in Round 22 — as reported by
SB Nation.
Speaking ahead of the Last Vegas Grand Prix, Alex said:
“We have an incredible opportunity to come back fighting in Vegas and bounce back from one of the toughest weekends we’ve ever experienced at Williams during my time here.
“We can showcase to the world and our rivals just how strong we are as a team and what we’re capable of, not only in the next three races but also in the future.
“I’m more motivated and driven than ever; I want to give back to this team and show my thanks for all their hard work by fighting for points in Vegas.”
Franco was also bullish about the team’s prospects over the final few weeks of the campaign, saying:
“Now is the time to show our resilience and bounce back together during the final three races of the season.
“Everyone at the factory has made a huge effort by pushing as hard as they can for us to be in the strongest place possible to see out the season.”
As Alex and Franco alluded to, rebuilding Williams’ two FW46s has been a mammoth task, with

Sainz set for Abu Dhabi
Carlos Sainz will be joining up with the team in 2025, but fans will get a first glance of him in Williams colours when he takes part in the Abu Dhabi post-season test.
Formula1.com covered Sainz’s impending arrival, while there has been plenty of interest in the relationship he’ll form with Alex next season.
Albono addressed that issue on Pirelli's ‘Box, Box, Box’ podcast, as reported on
Motorsport.com:
“I think people can take it [Sainz’s arrival] in two ways. They can feel threatened or they can see the challenge. I certainly like that challenge,” he said, before adding:
“For me, it's like, perfect! You know, bring it on. I love it. It's showing people what I can do. So it's fine. It's good for me.”
Carlos is also looking forward to linking up with Williams, as
Autosport outlined:
“Williams is the one that has invested in me, that backed me up from the beginning, that came to me a full year ago, and that made me super excited.
“I told myself: ‘I want to give these guys what they've given to me. I want to return to them this trust they have in me.’
“I can’t wait to go there and, together with them, build something good.”
Duracell deal attracts attention
Williams Racing were delighted to agree a multi-year renewal of our global partnership with Duracell this week.
The agreement will see the Duracell airbox continue to feature on the team’s cars — and Williams Commercial Director James Bower expressed his pleasure at the continuation of our relationship with the battery company:
“Williams are proud to have Duracell powering our comeback journey into 2025 and beyond as we continue building long-lasting relationships with industry-leading brands that share our vision and values,” he said.
“The partnership has delivered memorable moments and iconic branding that has become a fan favourite on our cars, and we look forward to the next chapter as we continue building momentum.”
