Q1) On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Alex’s first stop came under the Safety Car on Lap 17, placing him into the second option of Lap 11-20. A whopping 80% of you called this correctly, as did The Strategist.

Q2) On which lap will Logan make his first stop?

Logan was in the pits for his only stop on the following lap, again putting it in the bracket of Lap 11-20.
Fewer players were correct here, with 64% picking up five points on this question, The Strategist being one of them.

Q3) Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Albono was once again our first driver in for a tyre change and 55% of players were correct on this question.
This means that players were wise to go against The Strategist’s pick here, as they believed Logan would be our first to box.

Q4) When the first Williams Racing driver pits, what position will they pit from?

Our duo were both able to run longer than those around them on their first stop, meaning AA23 was running inside the P6 and P10 category when the Safety Car was deployed and he boxed.
Just 11% of players saw this coming, picking up a valuable five points. The Strategist did not, with their more conservative prediction of P11-P15 not coming to fruition.

Q5) When Alex makes his first stop, what will the gap between him and the car ahead be?

Alex was 1.9 seconds behind Charles Leclerc when he pulled into the pits, placing him inside the 0.1-2.5 second bracket. The Strategist correctly predicted this, as did 30% of our players.

Q6) When Logan makes his first stop, what will the gap between him and the car ahead be?

Logan pitted the following lap under Safety Car conditions, meaning there was a sizeable 9 second gap between himself and Charles Leclerc. Just 9% of PWP players chose the 7.5+ second option and The Strategist was not one of them.

Q7) How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

History told us to expect at least one VSC period in Jeddah, but that was not to be the case in 2023.
The Strategist loves a trend and will be hugely disappointed this record didn’t continue. However, the 7% of you or correctly called no VSC period will be delighted with the five points earned on this question.

Q8) How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

Thankfully for The Strategist, their prediction of one full Safety Car period came true, as it did for the 62% of fans who also chose this option.

The Strategist’s Score: 4/8

Street circuits always throw up unpredictable events, and this was a tough one to take for our secretive individual.
Rest assured, this only means that The Strategist will be working harder than ever to get close to top marks for the Australian Grand Prix.
