Albono enjoyed a fine return to Formula 1 in 2022

Alex Albon’s positive first season at the wheel with Williams Racing has been recognised by his inclusion in Autosport’s Top 50 of 2022 list.
Each year, the global motorsport publisher ranks the best drivers of the previous 12 months across Formula 1, World Rally Championship, MotoGP and many other series.
In their 2022 edition, the Autosport team of experts have ranked Albono in 33rd place with our Thai driver one of 13 F1 drivers to make the cut.
After a year out of the sport, AA23 enjoyed an impressive comeback season, picking up points on three occasions - in Miami, Belgium and after that 57-lap mega drive at the Australian Grand Prix.
Our No23 pushed the FW44 to its limits time and time again and was unfortunate not to land in points-paying positions more often, finishing in the top 12 on another five occasions.
Such is his determination and mental strength, he also made an incredible recovery from respiratory failure within three weeks to compete in the notoriously energy-sapping Singapore Grand Prix in October.
Alex returns to the Top 50 for the first time since 2019 after a season spent driving for Toro Rosso and latterly Red Bull Racing.
