Why is Albono sporting a Valentino Rossi-inspired lid at the 2024 United States Grand Prix? Find out here…

Alex Albon will reach a century of Formula 1 Grands Prix when the lights go out in Austin on Sunday.
To mark the occasion, our No23 will be sporting a new helmet for the 2024 United States Grand Prix, and it’s quite the change to his usual style.
The design is a near replica of his very first karting helmet! Above the visor, you’ll find ‘The Doctor’ logo of nine-time Motorcycle World Champion (and Albono’s childhood hero), Valentino Rossi.
Where the number 46 was once displayed 18 years ago, you’ll find his number 23, and Rossi’s cartoon dog features on the top just as it did in 2006.
On Instagram, Alex shared: “Going back to my roots for my 100th GP with my first ever helmet back in my karting days.
“Still a Valentino Rossi fanboy, and still the same size helmet! Onto the next 100!”
