Franco Colapinto has every right to talk about his superb start to life in Formula 1, and he did just that with
Autosport earlier this week.
“I know what I can do, and I was expecting to be quick,” our No.43 driver shared. “Even though I didn't have a lot of experience with the car, that was the idea of the team and why they put me in the car, so I'm happy to be helping the team.
“I am learning every time I'm going out and I'm just getting a bit more used to the car, a bit more used to how I can extract the maximum performance of the car, and that's going well.”

Talking to
the same publication, Team Principal James Vowles spoke about the strategy the team is looking to adopt into 2025 and beyond.
“We are trying to do leaps – not steps forward, not inching forward, not minimal gains, or marginal gains even, but leaps in the technology and what we’re doing,” the Briton explained.
“And in doing so, we’re going to trip ourselves up. And I’m comfortable with that, because we can’t unlearn what we’ve learned. “

Despite the focus on 2026, Alex Albon is still looking forward to bringing in '25 with a new teammate, in the form of Carlos Sainz.
"It will be a challenge, of course," Albon said to
Sky Sports.
"Carlos is very highly regarded. I welcome it. I feel like it's great to have that competition and I enjoy that.
"For me, I feel like it's a great thing to have and we'll be able to learn from each other.
"I'll be really interested to hear what he can bring into the team - not just in terms of feedback about the car but even driving styles and that kind of thing."
