What will the weather be for the 2024 Formula 1 season opener?

It’s finally here! The 2024 Formula 1 season gets underway this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit.
We have just locked in 1,600km of running here at the Pre-Season Test, so our duo will be more than familiar with the layout, but what does the weather have in store?
Don’t think that just because we’re in the Sakhir desert, the weather is guaranteed to be warm and dry. Just ask our F2 and F3 contingent, who completed a day of testing in the rain here a few weeks ago.

Thursday - FP1 and FP2

Forecast: Clear and warm. Temperature: 19C / 66F falling to 16C / 61F in the evening Chance of precipitation: <5%

Friday - FP3 and Qualifying

Forecast: Clear and warm. Temperature: 20C / 67F falling to 16C / 61F in the evening Chance of precipitation: <5%

Saturday - Race

Forecast: Clear and warm. Highest temperature: 21C /70F falling to 16C / 61F in the evening Chance of precipitation: <5%
