You know a new Formula One season is just around the corner when a fresh series of Drive to Survive drops on Netflix.

To whet your appetite, here’s what you can expect to see before you settle down to tune in.
SPOILER ALERT – if you’re wanting to go into season four completely blind, this isn’t the article for you, turn back now!
Celebrations in the garage after our double points finish in Budapest
Jost the boss
Episode six, titled ‘A Point to Prove’, is all about Williams as we get an insight into the start of the new era at our team.
We see Jost Capito, our CEO and Team Principal, arrive at Grove and are given a look into his background.
After being guided through the 63-year-old German’s background, we learn of his championship successes in the World Rally Championship where you can expect some rather interesting, if occasionally graphic, stories.
As the season progresses, thoughts turn to 2022. As such, you’ll gain a fascinating glimpse into the discussions held between Jost and the board surrounding our driver line-up, which obviously leads to Alex Albon joining Nicholas Latifi at the team this year.
Team spirit on show
The Netflix crew were embedded in our team for the memorable Hungarian Grand Prix, so you’ll get a first-person view inside the garage during the race.
There were plenty of emotions on show, with plenty of nerves leading up to the chequered flag, but you’ll see the sense of relief as both Nicky and George Russell cross the line to record a long-awaited double points finish.
Plenty of us had tears in our eyes, none more so than George who was visibly moved when conducting interviews in the interview pen.
After three years of hard work, the young Brit was overcome with relief that the team had achieved what it had long set out to do by getting back in the points.
You will get to go behind the scenes of these interviews as he tries to gather himself and process his thoughts.
Fast forward to episode eight, ‘Dances with Wolff,’ where attention turns to the battle for the second seat at Mercedes between George and Valtteri Bottas.
At a rather damp (a slight understatement) Spa-Francorchamps, George put in what was arguably the most memorable lap of the season, guiding the FW43B to provisional pole, only to be leapfrogged by Max Verstappen.
We get some brilliant insight from George into what it’s like to drive a qualifying lap in the wet around a circuit like Spa.
Jost also gives his reaction to the lap, stating: “these are the moments you live for…this lap will be a lap that makes history.”
A number of scenes are filmed at Grove, giving you a glimpse into life at our Oxfordshire headquarters.
From the Experience Centre when Jost first arrives on site, to training with George and his performance coach Aleix in our gym, as well as Jost and George both individually walking around our heritage collection and the museum.
If you have never been to Grove before you’ll get a superb look into life at our home.
