As preparations continue for Round 2 of the Formula 1 season and this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there has been plenty of Williams Racing chatter across the media this week.
Join us as we round up some of the main press coverage from the week just gone.
Alex Albon stars in The Fast And The Curious podcast
Albono spoke to Greg, Betty Glover and Christian Hewgill about everything from building on our point in Bahrain, to all things Albon pets and how his golf professional girlfriend Lily thinks he’s “uncoachable” on the course.
Our former driver George Russell unsurprisingly got a humorous mention from AA23 too. We think you’ll enjoy this one.
Logan Sargeant believes Jeddah track changes have reduced “blind fear”
As we outlined earlier in the week, several tweaks have been made to improve driver visibility on the track, and LS2 believes this has reduced the “blind fear” at Jeddah.
“The changes that they made are definitely positive from a driver's perspective,” Sarge told Autosport.
“Visually, being much more open, it takes away a bit of that blind fear feeling of not knowing what's around the corner… so, I think all that is positive and more reasonable for a driver.”
Alex Albon welcomes Vowles’ “winning mentality”
Our Thai driver has welcomed the arrival of the new Williams Racing Team Principal, who arrived from Mercedes last month with a serious pedigree in the sport.
"James has definitely got the knowledge from Mercedes.
"He's obviously a smart guy. He knows what he's talking about and he's got that winning mentality - he knows what it takes to win.
"That's something we need right now.”

The “key decisions” for Williams Racing to move forward
In a long read, they commented that James Vowles “will have to study every aspect of the organisation and gain a full understanding of its strengths and weaknesses.”
Hot topics include the recruitment of a Technical Director and Head of Aerodynamics, while also deciding on the subject of our 2026 engine supplier.
The article featured plenty of insight from James himself, who was eager to reiterate that the team won’t be rushed into making any key decisions, with the long-term success of the organisation very much the focus.
Welcoming our new COO
Earlier in the week, we were delighted to announce that Frederic Brousseau will become our new Chief Operating Officer in April.
Frederic has enjoyed a 26-year career in the aerospace industry and can’t wait to join the Williams Racing team.
“There is no better feeling than setting out on a brand new journey and working towards achieving your dreams,” he said.
“It has been an exciting beginning of the season and I am looking forward to joining a team with such Formula 1 heritage.
“I am eager to get started and contribute to building the organisation’s future alongside everyone at Williams Racing."
