Alex, Logan, Lia and James will all climb the hill across the four-day event

Williams Racing are all set for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024, with Alex Albon, Logan Sargeant, Lia Block and James Vowles all set to participate in the world-famous hill climb across the four-day event.
In 2024, the Festival is all about celebrating the timeline of propulsion. The theme 'Horseless to Hybrid – Revolutions in Power' will journey through the evolution of the motoring industry. Covering a timeline of more than 130 years, it will look back with pride at the progress the automotive industry has made, while also looking ahead to what’s next.
In keeping with the theme, Williams’ centrepiece will be one of its heritage star cars of the past: Keke Rosberg’s FW08. This revered ground effect Formula 1 car demonstrates the team’s relentless pursuit of excellence and pioneering innovation which has underpinned its 47-year history.
Supreme aerodynamics meant the Cosworth DFV-powered FW08 was able to compete with the more powerful turbo cars of the era, and Rosberg’s masterful driving secured him the Drivers’ World Championship including a single win at Dijon. Partnered by Derek Daly, Williams came 4th in the Constructors’ Championship. Keke’s 1982 drivers’ crown is one of 16 World Championships in Williams’ incredible history – seven drivers’ titles and nine Constructors’.
Alex Albon will pilot the legendary car (Thursday, 14:20) as he returns to the Festival of Speed for a second year running while Logan makes his Goodwood debut (Friday, 10:05 & 13:55). They will spend time meeting some of the dedicated and passionate fans that make the pilgrimage to the fantastic celebration of motorsport and car culture.
Lia, our F1 Academy racer, will take the wheel on Saturday (11:40 & 14:00) in her first public run of Formula 1 machinery. The young American is in the middle of her debut season in single-seaters. She returns to the UK fresh off of her best weekends to date in both F1 Academy and the Spanish F4 Championship.
To round out a memorable weekend, James will get his first drive in a Williams (Sunday, 10:50 & 14:10) since taking over as Team Principal last year and beginning a long-term project to transform the team back into Championship-winning contention. Away from the pit wall, James is a keen racer who most recently competed in the Asian Le Mans series in 2022.
When we're not climbing the hill, you can find us in the F1 Paddock, right in the heart of the festival site. We'll also have the FW19, FW26 and our FW46 show car on display, as well as the FW08 our quartet will be driving.
You can also drive on some of our Williams Esports Sim Rigs. If you're going to be at Goodwood across the four days, come and join us – don't forget to share your photos using #WeAreWilliams
