Get the inside scoop from Grove, ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix

It’s the final leg of a trans-American triple-header, and the race for the top spot in Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, is hotting up as we approach the climax of the season.
At Grove, our tactical guru known only as ‘The Strategist’ sits in 30th, on 330 points, while at the top of the standings two players are tied on 375 – so every prediction will count for something with just three races remaining this season.
How will you fare in your pursuit of the lead? Read on for The Strategist’s tips ahead of Interlagos.

Don't forget to submit your answers before lights out!

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. Weather conditions will play a big role in tyre strategy this weekend, but we expect a two-stopper for both drivers.

Q2: On which lap will Logan make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. Pirelli expect a ‘medium’ rate of tyre degradation at Interlagos, and I don’t expect anyone will risk a one-stopper.

Q3: Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Alex Albon. Logan’s pitted first in the last two races – it might be time for a change.

Q4: When the first Williams Razing driver pits, where will they pit from?

P11-P15. This track isn’t expected to be one of our strongest, and with limited free practice sessions, I reckon we’ll be just outside the points early in the race.

Q5: When Alex makes his first stop, what will the gap between him and the car ahead be?

2.6-5s. We know how tight the midfield has been this season and I expect it to be no different at Interlagos.

Q6: When Logan makes his first stop, what will the gap between him and the car ahead be?

2.6-5s. Same story. The pack will be bunched up.

Q7: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

None. The nature of this circuit means that a full safety car will probably be required more often than a virtual one.

Q8: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

One. There have been some modifications to the track perimeters. All the artificial grass is gone, a few TecPro switches. Who knows whether someone might come a cropper?
You’ve heard from The Strategist, now it’s time to make your decisions below. You have until the lights go out on Sunday to make any changes, good luck!
