Here’s what the press have been saying about Williams Racing in recent days.

The Formula 1 season may have been on pause for the last few weeks, but there’s been plenty to talk about when it comes to Williams Racing.
With excitement surrounding Carlos Sainz’s arrival in 2025 and plenty of insightful interviews, the media coverage has shown no sign of slowing down since our last outing in Belgium.
Here’s what you may have missed during the summer break…

On the road with Alex

Alex enjoyed a road trip with his partner Lily during his summer vacation — and he was more than happy to share some of his travel secrets with GQ Sports.
Albono also spoke to Autosport about Williams’ longer-term strategy to take the team back to the front of the Formula 1 grid.
And Alex himself reflected on the team’s positive direction of travel when it comes to the FW46’s weight, in Motorsport Week.

Vowles on Sainz

James Vowles was full of praise for ‘performance machine’ Sainz when he appeared on the F1 Nation podcast.
Williams’ Team Principal was similarly positive about the Spaniard’s potential impact while discussing a range of topics — from re-shaping our technical team to his long-term plans — with Formula1.com.

Robson reflects

Williams’ Head of Vehicle Performance Dave Robson has been reflecting on how the team will need to adapt to Sainz’s arrival, as well as the challenge of balancing resources between immediate progress and long-term success — with both interviews featuring in Autosport.
Dave goes on to describe the task of balancing our 2024 development, 2025 design and the 2026 regulation changes as “an interesting challenge we've been talking about for quite some time."

Zak’s lid

On a lighter note, Zak O’Sullivan took some time out to chat to fiaformula2.com, with the Williams Academy driver discussing his 2024 helmet design and how it can help him stand out on track this season.
