A busy Bahrain weekend awaits for three members of our Academy as F2 and F3 resumes in the desert

Formula 2 and Formula 3 return for Round 2 of their 2025 seasons – and so do our Williams Racing Driver Academy talents.
The Bahrain International Circuit will be a familiar venue for two of our F2 representatives, and a new frontier in racing terms for our F3 star, but all three head into the desert with momentum and milestones on the horizon.
Let’s take a look at what lies ahead for Luke, Victor, and Alessandro in Sakhir this weekend.

Formula 2

Luke Browning

After opening his 2025 F2 account with a P3 finish in the only race that survived a weather-hit Round 1, Luke returns to a circuit where he’s already found success – winning here in last year’s F3 Feature Race.
But this weekend brings more than just a return to a happy hunting ground.
Luke will also step into F1 machinery once again, taking part in FP1 on Friday in Carlos Sainz’s FW47. It marks his second Free Practice outing with the team, in what promises to be another step forward in his development.

Victor Martins

For Victor, this weekend will officially be his first competitive appearance in Atlassian Williams Racing colours. At Round 1, he was denied the chance to convert his pole position in the feature race owing to the inclement Melbourne weather, an issue we’ll be unlikely to face this weekend.
Like Luke, Victor is no stranger to success here. He won in Bahrain during his F3 days, and will now be looking to turn that speed into points in F2 trim.

Formula 3

Alessandro Giusti

This weekend will be Sandro’s first taste of Bahrain under full race conditions, but he’s already made a statement in the desert.
During in-season testing last week, the young Frenchman was right at the sharp end – clocking P5 and P4 across two of the three days, and helping his MP Motorsport squad rack up the most mileage of any team.
After a promising opening round, Bahrain offers the chance to build on that early form – and if testing is anything to go by, Sandro and MP are ready to take the fight to the front.
