Off the back of a positive race weekend for Williams Racing in Bahrain, there have been plenty of column inches devoted to the team in the press.
Join us as we summarise some of the main talking points from the week just gone.
‘Super proud’ Alex Albon on Williams Racing progress
Alex believes we have made the second biggest step forward this season and was keen to make sure some attention was thrown the way of everyone at Grove.
“Everyone is I’m sure, looking at Aston Martin right now on the podium and thinking what a step they’ve done, but we’re second,” he said.
“If you look at us from last year to this year, in this position, 12 months on, I have to say, we’ve done an amazing job.”

Jamie Chadwick recognised in Forbes’ 30 Under 30
At the age of 24, JC has already achieved so much success, but her ambitions don’t end there, as she recently shared with Forbes:
“I want to have the ultimate amount of success myself. I want to make Formula 1.
“But my legacy, I want to inspire the next generation of women to get involved in the sport.”
What made an assured F1 debut so good in Bahrain
After being hugely unlucky to miss out on Q2 after setting an identical lap time to Lando Norris, Logan finished the Bahrain Grand Prix in P12 after gaining four positions in the race.
“I felt like once I got into the race and rhythm, it all felt very natural,” LS2 shared with The Race.
“To be honest I don’t think they expected this much tyre deg coming into the year and it almost felt a little bit like F2 in terms of deg.
“So that sort of felt like I was just kind of carrying over what I did last year and trying to protect the rears and maintain pace.”
Power Rankings podium for Alex
“Alex Albon’s drive to get the final points-paying position after starting 15th went under the radar,” they stated, continuing: “especially after many predicted Williams to be at the back of the field in Bahrain.
“The Thai driver held off the challenge from the drivers behind him in a battling performance that is fast becoming his trademark in Williams blue.”
Williams focus firmly long-term amid TD search
One particular line of interest was regarding the role of Technical Director, with James making assurances that this was a vacancy he didn’t want to rush, as he looks for the right fit.
“We certainly are not going to shortcut it to fill technical roles with people that can give us six months rather than 12 or 24, we will find the right people and put the right people in place,” he said.
“I’m a firm believer in fundamentally ensuring that we have growth within our sport. There are some incredible individuals that are ready to be technical directors.”
