New Academy drivers make an impressive debut in the Petit Le Mans

RESULTS UPDATES

The Williams Esports Academy continues to move from strength to strength, with their most recent success being a P1 finish in the iRacing Official Petit Le Mans event on the 19-20th October.
In the hotly contested LMP2 class, our two newest Academy drivers, Matias Orjuela and David Sobreiro certainly made their mark, firing off the marks to victory in their debut races for the team.
David said that “I’m extremely happy and grateful to be joining Williams Esports Academy - my dream team since I ever joined the simracing scene.”
“Winning the Petit Le Mans event - one of the most demanding races - in my first ever race with the team is certainly the most special moment of my career, and it just shows how much I am willing to do my best and bring back sucess to the team.”
“I want to thank everyone from Williams Esports for making all this being possible.”
Matias said “I'm super excited to join Williams Esports as an academy driver to expand on my abilities as a driver. It will help me learn from the best of the best and keep working towards my bigger goals in the Esports scene.”
“Winning Petit Le Mans in my debut race for Williams couldn't have been a bigger achievement. I had never got the chance to really fight for the win in one of these races, but being able to win more first one with Williams couldn't have been any better.”
“I would like to thank everyone involved for giving me the chance in the first place!"
Elsewhere in the Academy, Topias Koivunen also got off to a flying start with the team, taking a victory in PSGL F2 on his debut, proving the promising future potential of our F1 Esports team.
Once again, the team are very pleased with the development of the academy, and we are hoping to carry some of the momentum from these fantastic results into the next month.
