How to get to the Williams Racing Austin Fan Zone

The countdown is on! There’s less than one week to go before we open the doors of our Fan Zone in Downtown Austin.

There will be plenty going on throughout our seven-day stay at 800 Congress Avenue and you can find out more about that here.

Discover our Fan Zone right in the centre of this great city and make sure you plan a visit if you’re in ATX during race week. Here’s how you can find us.

Finding the Williams Racing Austin Fan Zone couldn’t be simpler. We’re a quarter of a mile from the Texas Capitol, on the corner of 8th and Congress in the heart of downtown.

Two blocks up from the famous 6th Street entertainment district and 10 minutes from Congress Ave. Bridge, home to roughly 1 million bats. Most have now flown south for the winter but, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of their emergence at sundown.

Fancy popping by en route to Circuit of the Americas? The pre-booked COTA shuttle buses run from Waterloo Park, a 15-minute walk from our Fan Zone front door.

Simply walk up towards the Capitol, then head east on 11th Street until you get to Trinity. Take a left and follow the signposts to the shuttle service.

Rideshare apps will also run to COTA from our Fan Zone. These will take you to the designated rideshare lot where complimentary shuttle buses are provided to take you to the circuit.

There is no onsite parking available at our Fan Zone, but there are several parking garages dotted around the area just a short walk away.

You’ll be dropped off right outside our door, ask your driver to head to 800 Congress and we look forward to welcoming you inside.

Flying into town to take in the fastest show on four wheels? You’re in for a treat, ATX comes alive during Grand Prix week.

You’ll arrive at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, conveniently located in between the city centre and COTA.

A drive into downtown can take as little as 20 minutes. There is also the MetroBus 20 which runs regular services from the airport, with the nearest stop to our Fan Zone being 813 Lavaca/8th (Farside) - Stop ID 5965.

As much as we’d love to welcome you in as soon as you arrive in the city, we recommend against bringing your luggage into the venue as we can get pretty busy.
