Today’s the big day! Alongside Michelob ULTRA, we are all set for the premiere of our new one-of-a-kind television special, “Lap of Legends”.
Using innovative technology, we have enabled Logan Sargeant to race against six of the greatest Williams legends of all time.
This thrilling showdown consists of a 15-lap race around Silverstone Circuit between eras to celebrate the rich history of Formula 1 and Williams Racing.
Our American No2 will compete against the virtual avatars of iconic racers Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve, and Jenson Button.
Research from 720 races, 1,260 hours of footage, and 144,000 miles were used to accurately simulate the speed, racing style, technique, and strategy of each driver and their cars.
Michelob ULTRA developed a unique augmented reality helmet for Sarge to then dive into the virtual world of the legends and fed him real-time information about the race.
The “Lap of Legends”, co-hosted by Jenson Button and Naomi Schiff, has been filmed across the UK, including Williams Racing HQ and Silverstone Circuit.
Fans can tune in to the premiere of “Lap of Legends” on AMC, BBC America, and The Roku Channel at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT in the U.S.
The one-hour film will also be distributed in 28 countries worldwide, including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and more.
