Welcome to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the fastest street circuit Formula 1 visits, for Round 2 of the 2024 World Championship.
Nestled along the Red Sea's east coast, the Saudi Arabian circuit offers a high-speed challenge for racers, with speeds exceeding those we see even at Silverstone.
Since its debut in 2021, it has quickly become known for its fast, flowing layout and close-by walls, making it a standout recent addition to the F1 calendar.
Circuit Overview:
Jeddah boasts more corners than any other track we visit, with a staggering 27 turns around its 6.174 km (3.836 miles) distance.
The circuit's first sector begins with a rapid run to a left-right chicane before a complex of 10 quick direction changes that test the agility of the drivers and cars.
Sector 2 runs south down the coast, with a sweeping 180-degree hairpin as the kick-off point for another fast run of relentless corners, including the sweeping curves of the second DRS zone.
A dramatic braking zone into the last corner, another hairpin, provides fans with wheel-to-wheel action under the lights before the drivers hurtle down the pit straight to complete the lap.
