A warm welcome back to the Shanghai International Circuit after its absence from Formula 1 since 2020's race cancellation.
Shanghai has hosted the Chinese Grand Prix since its inauguration in 2004 with this impressive circuit of eye-catching architecture and facilities.
Its layout, with a combination of long straights and a diverse range of corners, features wide corners to encourage passing and differing lines, and two long straights where slipstreaming guarantees wheel-to-wheel action.
Circuit Overview:
The Shanghai International Circuit sits at 5.451 km (3.388 miles) with 16 turns, starting with the seemingly never-ending snail-shaped Turns 1 and 2 — two tightening right-handers that demand careful braking and precise throttle control.
Sector 2 begins with a right-hand hairpin, but it's mostly single file through the curves until reaching the entirely different third and final sector.
There's a 1.2 km straight between Turn 13 and Turn 14 for drivers to drag race down, and the lap concludes on the pit straight, which itself is 0.8 km long for more flat-out racing.

LOGAN to PIT
Penalty was for what? PIT to LOGAN Pit lane exit with Hulkenberg. LOGAN to PIT I wasn't. I passed the line ahead of him. JAMES to LOGAN We'll go through here together. It was a good race with Gasly today and it's difficult circumstances but lots of learning which is mainly what we need. Let's come back stronger in Miami together.

JAMES to ALEX
That was a tough race out there today, Alex. That's the best we could have done. We just needed a tiny bit more pace and we were about five seconds from the point. Well managed. ALEX to PIT Yeah, it was the wind that helped today, but juggling a little bit, high speed, low speed, like yesterday. Thank you everyone. Thanks for the hard work. I think we'll be ready in Miami.
