Welcome to the Baku City Circuit, located in the heart of Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, and home to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Known for its incredibly long straight and uniquely narrow run alongside a castle, this street circuit offers one of the most dramatic settings on the Formula 1 calendar.

Unpredictability is always part of any street circuit, but Baku somehow takes that reputation to another level, making adaptive strategies, driver skill, and a little bit of luck all pivotal in any race.

The Baku City Circuit unfolds over 6.003 km (3.730 miles) with 20 turns, beginning with a quartet of 90-degree corners in Sector 1, with Turn 1 and Turn 3 seeing their fair share of overtakes over the years.

Sector 2 hosts the slowest corners of the track, and navigates around the tricky and narrow castle, before opening up with wider roads and faster corners leading to the circuit's signature feature: the long main straight.

The final sector is the longest flat-out section in Formula 1, encouraging high speeds and daring overtaking manoeuvres before the heavy braking into Turn 1 where the action begins once more.
